L'Esplande is in a wonderful location–walkable to the best of Grand Case, and overlooking the bay.
The location is perfect to use as a starting point to explore the island, its beaches, and tourist areas, and then return back for a short walk to some of the best restaurants in the Caribbean.
I am so glad we picked this perfect spot…away from the tourist areas of St. Maarten and set in the picturesque area of Grand Case.

L'Esplanade is tucked into the hillside overlooking Grand Case, one of the most vibrant and picturesque towns in the French Caribbean. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, it's a unique hideaway that somehow makes minutes away feel like miles. Stroll down to world-class dining and the lovely crescent beach of Grand Case Bay, take a quick drive to another of the island's 37 gorgeous beaches, or stay put and forget that the rest of the world even exists.Caribbean without losing its creole character—Boulevard de Grand Case is still a tiny, one-lane street where people stop to say hello, lined with brightly-painted traditional houses one can recognize from historical photos. Today many of these heritage buildings are home to boutiques, art galleries and restaurants. The village is open to the world, but still Grand Case at heart.
St. Martin itself is a unique blend of Caribbean casual and French sophistication. It is where the French art of fine dining marries the Caribbean joy of good eating.
